Pharmacists have a multidisciplinary and international profession, which directly benefits from technological and health-related developments in the world. Pharmacists are drug experts needed at all stages from the development of drugs to their presentation to patients.
After completing the basic courses such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics,Pharmacy, with its multidisciplinary structure and international character, is a continuously evolving profession that is directly influenced by global developments in technology and healthcare. Pharmacists are experts who play a key role in safeguarding public health, undertaking responsibilities across the entire process from the discovery, development, and production of medicines to their delivery to patients.
At our Faculty, pharmaceutical education begins with fundamental science courses such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biochemistry, Physiology, and Anatomy in the early years, and continues with professional courses such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology, Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacognosy, and Cosmetology. The educational process is supported not only by theoretical courses but also by extensive laboratory practices; moreover, our students gain professional experience by completing a total of 120 working days of internships in community pharmacies, hospitals, public institutions, and the private sector.
In line with its vision, our Faculty aims to train pharmacists who possess lifelong learning habits, strong research identities, advanced communication skills, and a commitment to ethical values. Our students reinforce these competencies through the “Istinyelilik Manifesto” course delivered across four semesters, while deepening their research experience through two-year Graduation Projects.
Furthermore, thanks to a wide elective course pool—covering areas such as Artificial Intelligence in Pharmacy, Clinical Research, Aromatherapy, and Disaster Pharmacy—our students are able to gain expertise in their fields of interest. Through the seminar “Let Your Mentor Be a CEO,” they also have the opportunity to meet with top-level executives in the sector, thus gaining significant career-shaping opportunities. Our Faculty continuously updates its curriculum by taking into account both national and international standards as well as technological advancements.
Our primary priority is to ensure that our graduates both meet the needs of society and fulfill the expectations of organizations operating in the pharmaceutical industry, thereby contributing to the advancement of our country in this field.
Ultimately, our overarching goal is to ensure that the graduates of our Faculty of Pharmacy are among the most needed and most preferred pharmacists in society.
