A Cosmetics Workshop was held with the participation of Croda company, organized by Dr. Ece Özkan Bülbül who is Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology at İstinye University Faculty of Pharmacy. Our students successfully completed their anti-aging, glass skin or special gel creams for dark circles around the eyes with perfumes of their own choice.

EUROTOX (European Society of Toxicology) has established a scientific committee with toxicologists selected from European countries who have education, skills, experience and superior professional standards and has appointed our faculty of pharmacy, head of the department of Toxicology, Prof. Dr. Semra Şardaş, as a member of the EUROTOX scientific committee to represent Turkey.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anmar AL-TAIE participated in the international congress "52nd conference of the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP)" held in Kraków, Poland, with his study "Implementing and scaling of sustainable Clinical Pharmacy".

The research study titled ''Adherence to Medication in Hypertensive Patients Living Alone Over the Age of 65: A Phenomenological Study'' has been published in the Journal of Geriatrik Bilimler Dergisi.
The article, which emerged as a result of the interdisciplinary collaboration of Pharmacy and Social Work students, includes the results of the TÜBİTAK 2209 A project research and is the first joint study conducted by the Pharmacy and Social Work disciplines in Turkey.

On May 22, 2024, in the Healthineering Idea/Project Development Event organized by İSÜ-CONNECTOM, sophomore students of the Faculty of Pharmacy Irmak Yelen and Şule Koç made our faculty proud by being deemed worthy of the first place award with the MigraTrack project they developed under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. İnci Kayın, Assistant Professor Hüsdamettin Osmanoğlu and Yalçın Hızlı.
The MigraTrack project is an innovative solution that aims to help migraine patients manage their attacks more effectively.

On May 18, 2024, the Departments of Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy organized an event for high school students as part of the "Spring Workshop for High School Students." During this event, Prof. Dr. Atilla Akdemir, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, briefly introduced "Computer-Aided Drug Discovery and Design." After this introduction, each student conducted a modeling study using the Flare Program on their computers. Following this, a "Plant Workshop" was conducted by Dr. Demet Akalgan Aklar, Head of the Pharmacognosy Department, and Dr. Meltem Güleç. In the final part of the event, Dr. Ece Özcan Bülbül, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, provided brief information about the department. The students then prepared a nasal spray according to the provided prescription. By the end of the day, the high school students had gained knowledge about the theoretical and practical education offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Prof. Dr. Semra Şardaş was an invited speaker at the International Cardiology Congress held in İstanbul on the subject of the intelligent use of cardiology drugs.
Istinye University’s Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Assist. Prof. Oğuzhan Aydemir, Assist. Prof. Betül Giray and students visited French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi recently. Sanofi Pharmaceuticals is renowned for its extensive product portfolio, sustainability policies, and social responsibility projects.
The event was organized by Sanofi to present students with an overview of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry and the career journeys of company executives. Managers in pharmacovigilance, drug licensing, and medical departments explained the importance of pharmacists in the industry. Students also learned about new units into which artificial intelligence is integrated.
The event also provided information to students about internship and job opportunities at Sanofi.
