Elif Yavuz Dokgöz, who completed her undergraduate education in Marmara University, Atatürk Faculty of Education, Department of Biology in 2010 with a non-thesis master's degree, completed her master's degree with thesis between 2010-2013 in the field of cancer genetics at Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Biology. In her master's thesis, she conducted research on gene expression levels in head and neck cancers. Between 2010 and 2013, she took active roles in research projects carried out in the Molecular Genetics Laboratory operating under the Department of Medical Biology of Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. While continuing her graduate education, she participated in the Erasmus-LLP program on 'Classic and Modern Methods for Molecular Diagnostics in Human Pathology' at Transilvania University of Brasov. After her master's degree, she worked as an Application Specialist at Aka Biotechnology company operating in the field of life sciences, gained experience in the private sector between 2013-2016. She completed her doctorate education in Istanbul Medipol University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Medical Biochemistry between 2014-2020 by researching cancer energy metabolism. Elif Yavuz Dokgöz, who has been in the academic staff as a lecturer at Istinye University as of April 2016, is still working as an assistant professor at the Department of Biochemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy. She continues to work as a faculty member.
