Istinye University Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Basic Sciences faculty member Dr. Ayça BAL ÖZTÜRK's project titled "Development of Self-Healing, Injectable, Conductive Hydrogel Systems for the Treatment of Spinal Cord Injuries and Investigation of Their Potential for Neural Tissue Engineering" is supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1002 - Short Term R&D Funding Program, Her graduate student Gülşah Torkay, in Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering Department at Health Sciences Institute, will carry out her master thesis studies.
In the project, it is aimed to develop self-healing, injectable, conductive hydrogel systems to support the treatment of spinal cord injuries that do not have effective regenerative solutions yet, and to obtain products with high potential for use in neural tissue engineering.
